Make yourself this summer's IT dress and skirt!
The Lynn Pinafore and Skirts pattern gives you a dress and two skirts all in one pattern. All three styles feature an asymmetric skirt with a split over one leg, gathered seams and asymmetric hemline. You can choose to make the skirt with a flat or an elasticated waistband. The dress has softly gathered front bodice pieces added to it and crossed back straps.
Skill Level
The elasticated skirt can be made by confident beginners, who as they learn and become more confident with the sewing machine can then go on to sew the dress and skirt with a flat waistband and invisible zip closure as intermediate level sewists.
Techniques
The pattern includes detailed instructions and illustrations to guide you through the whole process. Learn to sew a pinhem, french seams, install an invisible zip and how to do an elastic waistband. You can choose to finish the inside with zigzag/overlock or you can give the beautiful french seams a go to create a lovely and neat garment on the inside as well.
Fabric Suggenstions
I recommend floaty and drapey fabrics for this pattern. Viscose and viscose blends are great options, as are soft cottons, cotton lawn, crepe de chine and charmeuse. The main thing to remember about the fabric is that it should be light enough to gather nicely, and drapey enough to give the skirt the right amount of drama.
The pattern is available in sizes UK 8-24 (EUR 36-52, US 4-20).

2. Printed Pattern with Printed Instructions - For £2.00 more we will print the A0 Pattern pages and the A4 instructions for you and they will be dispatched in a clear polythene cover to keep it safe.
