Basic bikini WELL’S BAY is a reversible bikini that is strikingly minimal yet versatile. I named it after the disappearing beach here on Saba - one of the most breathtaking locations on the island.
Living in a hard-to-reach area, I originally designed this bikini to use the stretch of strips of swimwear fabric - which I call "elast-ish" - rather than special elastics or other notions (although elastic is optional). The wireless top has under-bust darts, thin shoulder straps and ties at the back. The bottoms are low-rise hipsters that provide full coverage, thanks to the curved seam of the side panels. Ideal for the minimalist who cannot choose, the reversibility gives you four different wearable combinations and plenty of opportunity for color-blocking. (The pattern comes with bonus tips on creating panties with the bikini bottoms pattern!)
Medium weight, 4-way stretch swimwear fabric with approx. 40% - 65% horizontal stretch and 25% - 50% cross grain stretch. Swimwear fabric typically contains 80% - 90% nylon or polyester and 10% - 20% elastane (ie. Spandex, Lycra).
